Paragraph outlining atau yang sering disebut dengan kerangka paragraf atau tulisan ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan apa aja yang mau kita tulis dalam sebuah paragraf. Hal ini dapat membantu kita dalam mengembangkan paragraf yang akan kita buat.
Ada beberapa macam bentuk outline
Topic Sentence (topic sentence underlined)
A. First Supporting Point
B. Second Supporting Sentence (These are equal in importance and written in parallel form)
C. Third Supporting Sentence
Concluding Sentence (concluding sentence underlined)
Pada dasarnya, supporting sentences sebaiknya memiliki bentuk yang sejenis, misalnya saja sama-sama berbentuk kalimat atau frase.
